The guest country in 2010 is France

The Hamburg Animation Award is an international award which will be presented to the best up-and-coming animated cartoon artists for the seventh time in 2010. Beginning now, contestants are welcome to send in their entries. The winners will be announced to an audience of over 600 at the award ceremony, taking place in Hamburg, Germany on 5 July 2010. The prize money for all the awards totals EUR 12,888.

The contest is open to graduates and students of film academies, technical colleges and universities all over the world. The entries with the most creative stories and most original styles will be awarded. A special country award shall be presented to the animated cartoon winners from France.
