France – Leading in Animation and Partner Country 2010

Special focus is placed on the partner country during the Hamburg Animation Award. A different country is chosen each year. France is the partner country in 2010.

France has special significance in the industry as well as for Hamburg. There is no arguing the fact that France is leading in Europe in animation production and training. We are greatly looking forward to receiving the entries from the 22 schools invited to participate. Hamburg also has close friendship ties to its sister cities in France, Marseille and Toulouse.

We also wish to thank the French Embassy in Berlin and the Consulate General of France in Hamburg for their friendly and helpful support in preparing and organising the Hamburg Animation Award 2010.
